Kym Greeley,
“landing”
Out the window
of a plane landing at St. John’s International Airport…
it’s so hard to stay elsewhere when home keeps on calling.
A short video that feels jet-lagged, but relieved.
Kym
Greeley lives and works in St. John’s, Newfoundland
& Labrador, Canada. Greeley graduated from NSCAD in Halifax
and has exhibited internationally, with shows in St. John’s,
Halifax, Winnipeg, Boston, and Berlin.

Emily Lutzker,
“Things I’ve shouted”
Against a
blank wall, a woman jumps up into the frame, shouting a word or
phrase before falling back offscreen. “Things I’ve
Shouted” is a whimsical and anxious evocation of the ways
we attempt to be noticed and the ways we attempt to hide.
Emily
Lutzker is a sculptor, performance and video artist. She
is a native New Yorker and has lived and worked downtown since
her graduation from the School of Visual Arts in 1991. After graduation,
she continued with graduate studies in New York and Switzerland.
Her work illustrates the ‘everyday pathetic.’ Using
herself as raw material, the videos and performances incorporate
popular music, karaoke, obsessive behaviour, virtuosity, and humiliation.
