312 was an
alternative video exhibition space housed in the small foyer of
an apartment. Showcasing one channel video work on a television,
312 offered the visitor an intimate experience—a relaxing
chair, a set of headphones (or speakers for two people) and video
art. It was homey, it was small, and it was for video.

312 was open
to all members of the public and had a friendly, welcoming, and
casual atmosphere. It was the kind of place where you could sit
and thoroughly take in a work or take it all in quickly. It was
up to you.

312 was located
in Corner
Brook, Newfoundland
& Labrador, on the west coast of Canada’s
easternmost province
